A brilliant Nigerian woman, Dominica Una has set an outstanding record in her family after earning a Doctorate degree in Petroleum and Gas Engineering.

Dominica Una’s achievement makes her the first-ever member of her family to achieve a PhD degree. She started her higher academic journey at the University of Port Harcourt, South-East, Nigeria, earning a Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum and Gas Engineering.

She proceeded to earn her Master’s degree in Materials and Metallurgical Engineering at the same institution and thereafter proceeded to earn the peak of her academics with a PhD degree.

Dominica Una who celebrated her achievement on LinkedIn narrated that her achievements came with many sacrifices. She explained that growing up under the tutelage of her father who was a teacher and her mother who was a trader helped her.

“My father was a #teacher, and my mum was a trader. We had just enough because my mum was very industrious and had many side businesses to sustain a large family like ours,” she narrated.
