On September 7, 2000, in Lagos, Faithia Zenabu Williams wed Saidi (also known as Saheed Balogun). Saheed Balogun had 22 years of acting experience by the time he married Fathia, who had just started her career in Nollywood
This was Saidi’s second marriage; she had previously wed Sherifat (Serifat) Balogun. They gave birth to two children, Zinnat and Jamal. Some accounts claim that Fathia’s marriage was not her first. Although she didn’t reveal the identity of her first husband, they did have a daughter together.
For a few years, the couple gave off a serene look. The first child of the marriage, Khalid, was born on July 11, 2002. After several years of marriage, on April 3, 2005, their daughter Aaliyah was born. Everything seemed to be working properly.
However, that was untrue; Fathia and Saheed abruptly broke up in March 2006.
